About

T's TanTan is a fully vegan ramen restaurant on the Keiyo Street level inside JR Tokyo Station. Everything on the menu is free of meat, fish, eggs, and dairy. The specialty is tantanmen, the Japanese adaptation of Sichuan dandanmian, built here on a creamy sesame and soy milk broth with soy meat instead of pork. It's a sister brand of T's Restaurant in Jiyugaoka, which has been doing plant based Japanese cooking since 2009. The Tokyo Station location is the most visited of the group, drawing a constant mix of commuters, shinkansen travelers, and international visitors. Other branches operate inside Ueno Station, Ikebukuro Station, and Narita Airport. The menu changes seasonally and varies slightly by location.

Good to know

  • White Sesame is milder; Black Sesame carries a sansho pepper kick. Beyond ramen, the menu includes gyoza, a mini soy chashu rice bowl, massaman curry, and a multigrain rice bowl.
  • Konjac noodles can be swapped in; vegan cheese and chashu are available as add-on toppings.
  • Located inside the JR ticket gates near the Keiyo Line platforms. If not traveling JR, enter via the Yaesu South exit; a platform ticket costs approximately ¥150. Budget ten to fifteen extra minutes to locate it on a first visit.
  • Open roughly 7:00 to 22:00. Also open over New Year.
