About
Tofu Room Dy's is a small tofu focused cafe tucked into the quiet residential streets of Sendagi, in the heart of the Yanesen (Yanaka, Nezu, Sendagi) neighborhood. The menu is built entirely around tofu made by the owner's family business, Yoshikoshi Foods in Sano, Tochigi Prefecture, using Japanese soybeans and delivered fresh. The restaurant is completely vegetarian with many vegan options, though some dishes (like certain cheesecakes) contain dairy, so it's worth confirming with staff. Lunch options include a tofu plate of the day, tofu sandwiches (the avocado tofu sandwich is a standout), and a daily changing set meal with soup, pickles, side dishes, and tea. Desserts include tofu flower in syrup, cakes, and seasonal items. The space is tiny and personal, decorated with the owner's collection of vintage Snoopy memorabilia and soul music record covers, with plants outside and a warm, homey atmosphere inside.
